Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carpinteria). Everything went their way against the Palmdale Falcons on Saturday as the Carpinteria Warriors made off with an 80-56 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Warriors have posted since February 7th.

Palmdale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Latee Moore, who went 8 for 18 on his way to 17 points and eight rebounds. The dominant performance gave Moore a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Thornton, who posted 14 points and three steals.

Carpinteria's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Palmdale, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-8 record this season.

Carpinteria will welcome Polytechnic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Carpinteria's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight games. As for Palmdale, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-45 win against Palmdale Academy Charter School on the 16th.
