The Southmont Mounties were the 51-48 winner over the Tri-West Hendricks Bruins when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Southmont fell 68-56 to the Bruins on Thursday. While losing is never fun, Southmont can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 307th, while the Bruins are ranked 84th).

It was the first time this season that Watson scored 15 or more points. Hayden Hess was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with eight assists and two steals.
Tri-West Hendricks' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Drew Miller, who scored 16 points along with six assists and two steals. Miller is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Max Robertson, who scored 19 points.
Southmont are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8. As for Tri-West Hendricks, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southmont will square off against the Wolves at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
