The Humboldt Vikings were the 57-48 winner over the Middleton Tigers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Humboldt took a hard 56-40 fall against Middleton on Tuesday.
Middleton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Morgan Talley, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kemora Buggs, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Humboldt's loss dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Middleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.
Humboldt does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Middleton, they will be playing at home against Bradford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Middleton has four straight victories, Bradford has 11 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
