The La Porte Bulldogs had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 76-65 win over Angleton on Tuesday. Given La Porte's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 304th, while Angleton is ranked 609th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Phillip Ned continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 26 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Trent Callies was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven steals.
Despite the loss, Angleton still got an impressive performance from Ka'dyine Jones, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Braydon Campbell, who scored 15 points.
La Porte's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Angleton, their loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 11-16.
La Porte will square off against Friendswood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Friendswood is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last three games. As for Angleton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ball at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
