The Panther Creek Panthers lost against the Santa Anna Mountaineers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Panther Creek suffered a rough 45-22 loss at the hands of Santa Anna. Panther Creek has not had much luck with Santa Anna recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Jacob Jimenez was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds for Santa Anna. That makes it three consecutive games in which Jimenez has scored at least a third of Santa Anna's points. Another player making a difference was Devan Ray, who scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Panther Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Santa Anna, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-6.
Panther Creek will head out on the road to take on Paint Rock at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Paint Rock comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Santa Anna, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Menard at 7:30 p.m.
