Unity Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 88-30 victory over Islamic Foundation at home. Unity Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.
Unity Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Shamar Coleman out in front who scored 22 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Coleman hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Aidan Robinson, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, College Prep of America came up short against Richards on Saturday and fell 60-53.
The losing side was boosted by Hamzah Shouman, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ibrahim Elagha, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Unity Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for College Prep of America, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-11.
Monday's contest is shaping up to be a scrappy contest: Unity Christian Academy have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 29.4 rebounds per game. It's a different story for College Prep of America, though, as they've been averaging only 26.1 rebounds per game. Given Unity Christian Academy's sizeable advantage in that area, College Prep of America will need to find a way to close that gap.
