1. Rainier Beach (Seattle)
2013-14 finish: 29-1, Class 3A state champions
Head coach: Mike Bethea

The Vikings have won three state titles in a row at the 3A level and will enter the season a slight favorite to make it four. University of Washington pledge De'Jounte Murray (6-5, Sr., G) will be joined by Franklin transfer Keith Smith (6-6, Jr., G) to give Beach a potent 1-2 scoring punch.

2. Eastside Catholic (Sammamish)
2013-14 finish: 23-6
Head coach: Bill Liley

University of Washington commitment Matisse Thybulle (6-7, Sr., F) and Montana State pledge Mandrell Worthy (6-3, Sr., G) make the Crusaders a threat to end Rainier Beach's dominance in the 3A classification.

3. Garfield (Seattle)
2013-14 finish: 27-1, Class 4A state champions
Head coach: Ed Haskins

The defending 4A state champs will retool around star junior point guard Jashaun Agosto and sophomore sensation Jaylen Nowell. The Bulldogs were a two-point loss away from an unbeaten season in 2013-14.

4. Wilson (Tacoma)
2013-14 finish: 23-5
Head coach: David Alwert

The Rams have been building toward this season with a young group for a couple of years. Juniors Alphonso Anderson (6-6, F) and David Jenkins (6-0, G) will lead the charge.

5. Issaquah
2013-14 finish: 20-7
Head coach: Jason Griffith

The Eagles forced the state to take notice by hammering championship hopeful Jackson of Mill Creek in the 4A quarterfinals last year. Issaquah's top two scorers are back in senior Ty Gibson (6-2, G) and sophomore Trevon Ary-Turner (6-4, G).
