Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Century). They were the clear victors by a 16-6 margin over the Faribault Falcons on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Panthers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Century got a massive performance out of Owen Kelly, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two triples, two runs, and one RBI. Kelly has become a key player for the Panthers: the team is 6-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Aiden Yochim, who went 3-for-5 with one home run and four RBI.
Century always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The victory got Century back to even at 9-9. As for Faribault, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.
