After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cypress Ranch, the Victoria East Titans were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 60-53 win over Carroll. Given Victoria East's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 414th, while Carroll is ranked 1036th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Victoria East to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kamryn Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kk Cleveland, who scored 11 points along with 6 rebounds.
Victoria East has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Carroll, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-10.
Victoria East is on the road again on Saturday and play against Cypress Ridge. As for Carroll, they will take on Southwest Legacy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
