After two games on the road, Star Valley is heading back home. They and the Kelly Walsh Trojans will face off at 4:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Star Valley didn't have too much trouble with the Wolverines on the road as they won 54-38. The victory was just what Star Valley needed coming off of a 65-42 loss in their prior game.
Emily Dana continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailey Erickson, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Kelly Walsh waltzed into their game on Saturday with three straight wins but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy 57-42 win over Green River.
Star Valley is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. As for Kelly Walsh, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-10.
Star Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against the Trojans in their previous matchup back in March of 2023, sneaking past 42-39. Will Star Valley repeat their success, or do the Trojans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
