 On the hitting side, Briarcrest Christian let  Landon Rogers and  Caleb Cowles run wild. Rogers  went 2-for-4 with one  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI, while  Cowles  went 1-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  Rogers has posted since back in April of 2024.  Houston Walker was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, St. Benedict at Auburndale fell victim to Fayette Academy and their airtight pitching crew  on Thursday. They lost  8-0 to the Vikings. Having soared to a lofty 26  runs in the game before, the Eagles' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 St. Benedict at Auburndale saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Adam O'Brien, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base.
 Briarcrest Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.4 runs over those games. St. Benedict at Auburndale dropped their record down to 2-5 with the  loss, which was their 14th straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Everything went Briarcrest Christian's way against St. Benedict at Auburndale when the teams last played  back in May of 2024, as Briarcrest Christian made off with  an  11-0 win.
