Italy entered their tilt with Hico on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by a 24-8 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Gladiators, who have now won seven matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Italy got a massive performance out of Addy Slovak, who fired off two home runs, five runs, and seven RBI while going 5-for-5. Those five hits gave Slovak a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Charlea Padilla, who fired off three home runs, five RBI, and one stolen base while going 4-for-5.

Slovak wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Italy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 23 hits. Italy is a perfect 6-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Italy's record is now 8-4. As for Hico, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Italy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 win against Meridian on the 18th. As for Hico, they have also already played their next contest, a 15-0 victory against Frost on the 18th.
