After flying high against the Greenhills Gryphons last Friday, Everest Collegiate came back down to earth. Everest Collegiate took a 34-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cranes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Everest Collegiate of the 40-36 defeat they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture two weeks ago.
Cranbrook Kingswood can attribute much of their success to Sravya Oruganti, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Yasmyn Palmer, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Everest Collegiate's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-3. As for Cranbrook Kingswood, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 9-3.
Everest Collegiate will head out on the road to take on the Pioneers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Richard is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Cranbrook Kingswood, they will be playing at home against the Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
