The Park Tudor Panthers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Beech Grove Hornets at 6:30 p.m. Park Tudor's defense has only allowed 28.8 points per game this season, so Beech Grove's offense will have their work cut out for Beech Grove.
Last Tuesday, Park Tudor took a serious blow against West Lafayette, falling 62-29. While losing is never fun, Park Tudor can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while West Lafayette is ranked 38th).
Meanwhile, Beech Grove had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against Hauser by a score of 50-37.
Beech Grove's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Harper Moore, who scored 21 points, and Mylee Boling, who scored 17 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Boling has scored at least 25% of Beech Grove's points. Emma Micks was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Park Tudor and nudges their season record down to 4-2. As for Beech Grove, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
