Vashon Island pushed their score all the way to 67 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-67 hit to the loss column at the hands of Klahowya.
Meanwhile, even though Bellevue Christian scored an imposing 75 points on Friday, East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] still came out on top. East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] secured a 80-75 W over the Vikings. The victory was just what East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum] needed coming off of a 91-39 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Stuart Dow, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. Dow is crushing the block category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Holmes, who scored 17 points.
Vashon Island dropped their record down to 2-16 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. That rough patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.8 points per game. As for East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum], their victory bumped their record up to 8-9.
Vashon Island might still be hurting after the 81-61 loss they got from the Rivals when the teams last played back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of East Jefferson [Port Townsend/Chimacum]'s Brody Moore, who scored 31 points along with two steals.
