The Bridge City Cardinals were the 57-25 winner over the Evadale Rebels when they last played one another back in December of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Bridge City lost to Evadale on the road by a decisive 61-44 margin on Tuesday.
Among those leading the charge was Jaden Gravis, who scored 21 points along with 5 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Evadale's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Warren Brewer, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
Bridge City now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Evadale, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Bridge City will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against East Chambers at 10:15 a.m. on November 30th. East Chambers will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 672nd, while Bridge City is ranked 329th). As for Evadale, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Huntington at 11:30 a.m.
