The Sumter Gamecocks put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past St. James, posting a 51-9 win at home. Sumter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matches by 24 points or more this season.
Sumter had a senior duo take command as Kiara Croskey scored 17 points along with eight steals and Rickell Brown scored 17 points along with five steals. Croskey is absolutely dominating the point category: she's posted at least 15 every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Araina Ross, who scored eight points along with two steals.
Sumter's win was their 15th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0. As for St. James, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.
Sumter's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Conway at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. As for St. James, they will head out on the road to challenge Carolina Forest at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
