Hermon lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Nokomis, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's game. The Hawks put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 9-1 win on Monday. Considering the Hawks have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Rebecca Balmas made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk).
