The Johnson County Sports Association Lions will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Eagle Christian Academy Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Johnson County Sports Association will be strutting in after a win while Eagle Christian Academy will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Thursday, Johnson County Sports Association humbled Keene with a 58-13 victory. The win was just what Johnson County Sports Association needed coming off of a 70-22 loss in their prior contest.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Johnson County Sports Association to victory, but perhaps none more so than Athan Reeves, who picked up 68 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Andrew Montes de Oca and his 81 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Johnson County Sports Association's victory.
Meanwhile, Eagle Christian Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Providence Academy on the road and fell 52-12. Eagle Christian Academy was already down big by the end of the third quarter and they stayed that way after failing to score in the fourth.
Johnson County Sports Association now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Eagle Christian Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-7.
