The Marion County Knights will head out to square off against the Franklin County Flyers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion County will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
On Friday, Marion County needed a bit of extra time to put away Mercer County. They had just enough and edged out the Titans 5-4.

Gracyn Mattingly spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Abbi Million was excellent, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tori Gribbins, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Million wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Marion County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 22 runs the game before, Franklin County was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They fell just short of Madison Central by a score of 2-1. The Flyers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Madison McCoy put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. McCoy was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run marked the first that she launched this season.
Marion County's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Marion County hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .365. However, it's not like Franklin County struggles in that department as they've averaged .362. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
