On Saturday, Salpointe Catholic took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 66-35 win over Mission College Prep. With Salpointe Catholic ahead 37-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Leading Salpointe Catholic to victory were Rocco Valerdi and Omar Rasul. Valerdi scored 16 points, while Rasul scored 13 points along with nine rebounds. Valerdi continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Bobby Smith, who scored nine points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Salpointe Catholic and bumps their season record up to 10-5. As for Mission College Prep, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.
