 Meanwhile, Ashwaubenon had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Sheboygan North by a score of  12-7.
 Like Manitowoc Lincoln, Ashwaubenon also got a great game from a two-way player:  Eason Hurd. On the mound,  Hurd   struck out 11 batters over  four innings while giving up  four earned runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). Meanwhile,  Cody Monfils   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also didn't allow any  walks). At bat,  Hurd  fired off two  home runs, five  RBI,  and three  runs while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances, while  Monfils  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Evan Jacobs, who  went 2-for-4 with a  triple, a  stolen base,  and two  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zak Bellile, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-4.
 Manitowoc Lincoln's victory was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 3-0. Those victories were due in large part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs per game. As for Ashwaubenon, their record now sits at 1-0.
