Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jayhawk Linn). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the St. Paul Indians an 18-0 shutout on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-6 on Monday.

The win made it two in a row for Jayhawk Linn and bumps their season record up to 2-8-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.0 runs over those games. As for St. Paul, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jayhawk Linn will challenge Marmaton Valley on Thursday. The Jayhawks will need to watch out since the Wildcats have now posted at least ten runs in their last four contests. As for St. Paul, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southeast at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th.
