Tamarcus Smith continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Middleton, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Smith has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Taquinis Mitchell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.
Clarksburg's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Middleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clarksburg will challenge the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Halls has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 12. As for Middleton, they will head out on the road to take on the Red Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradford is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
