It was a good run, but the Jenkintown Drakes unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell to Chester Charter Scholars Academy 62-57. Jenkintown has not had much luck with Chester Charter Scholars Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Drakes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tommy Walsh, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. The contest was Walsh's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Kareem Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Jenkintown's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, their win bumped their record up to 5-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jenkintown will take on Morrisville at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Science Leadership Academy at Beeber at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
