The Bacon County Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They took a hard 66-50 fall against Pelham. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Bacon County in their matchups with Pelham: they've now lost three in a row.
Bacon County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ke'Shawn Holmes, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Holmes has scored all season. Xavier Harris was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with two steals.
Bacon County has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Pelham, the win got them back to even at 7-7.
Bacon County will head out on the road to take on Brooks County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Pelham, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Miller County at 7:30 p.m. Miller County is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
