The Desert Ridge Jaguars were the 38-33 winner over the North Mustangs when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Desert Ridge was just a bucket shy of victory on Monday and fell 40-39 to North. Desert Ridge has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
North got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Xxylina Flores out in front who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 steals. Another player making a difference was Ayanna Goode, who scored 19 points.
Desert Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for North, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Desert Ridge will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Florence at 5:00 p.m. on November 21st. As for North, they will square off against Red Mountain at 12:45 p.m. on Friday.
