The Burlington Cougars waltzed into their contest on Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They strolled past Colorado Springs School with points to spare, taking the game 46-30. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Burlington also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Burlington's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Chacon, who scored eight points along with 14 rebounds and four steals. Chacon has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. Another player making a difference was Rowdy Humrich, who scored 13 points.
Burlington's victory bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Colorado Springs School, their loss dropped their record down to 4-6.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Burlington will square off against Flagler at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Colorado Springs School, they will head out on the road to face off against Limon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
