Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Harrison Central Huskies, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They suffered a tough 56-35 defeat at the hands of Garfield on Friday. It was the first time this season that Harrison Central let down their fans at home.
Garfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Eric Geddes out in front who rushed for 106 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries, and also threw for 155 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes. Keegan Sell was another key contributor, rushing for 86 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries.
Harrison Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Garfield, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 12-0.
Harrison Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Garfield will head out on the road to face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Perry is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
