Football Recap: Ogden Skates Past Carbon with Ease

Ogden won the last time they faced Carbon and things went their way on Friday too. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Dinos 43-7. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Ogden's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Blake Weston, who threw for 152 yards and three TDs on only nine passes, and also rushed for 49 yards. Another rusher making a difference was Keen Crowther, who rushed for 95 yards and a pair of scores on only nine carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Ogden was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 284 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Carbon only rushed for 99 rushing yards.

Ogden didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Jayden Long led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Ogden got some further help from Max Wilson: he made ten total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Ogden now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Carbon, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ogden will welcome Clearfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Carbon, they will host Canyon View at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Dinos' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
