After flying high against the Flint River Academy Wildcats two weeks ago, the Harvester Christian Academy Hawks came back down to earth. Harvester Christian Academy fell 59-50 to Atlanta Jewish Academy on Thursday. Harvester Christian Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Atlanta Jewish Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
When it comes to explaining why Harvester Christian Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jarrett Brown. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. Brown is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last three games he's played. Donavan Williams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Zac Agichtein was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 31 points and 14 rebounds for Atlanta Jewish Academy. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Agichtein has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Wilson, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Harvester Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harvester Christian Academy will take on Atlanta Jewish Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Atlanta Jewish Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against The New School.
