The South Plantation Paladins and the Nova Titans will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 6th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
South Plantation unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak last Saturday. They fell 53-42 to Coral Springs. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Plantation has scored all season.
Kaiden Francis put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harry Gelin, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Nova's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They took a serious blow against NSU University, falling 97-27. While losing is never fun, Nova can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 577th, while the Sharks are ranked 84th).
South Plantation's defeat dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Nova, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-17 record this season.
Everything came up roses for South Plantation against the Titans when the teams last played back in January as the team secured a 72-38 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for South Plantation since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
