The Philo Electrics will head out to challenge the Beaver Local Beavers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Philo took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Newcomerstown 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Electrics have posted since March 21st.
Cassidy Himes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up seven Ks.

The result came thanks to Addie Thurik's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 16 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brylee Curtis, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.
Philo's record now sits at 8-17. As for Beaver Local, their record is now 22-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Philo hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Beaver Local struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1.2 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
