Miller has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Vela Sabercats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Miller's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season.
Miller had already proven themselves in the regular season, and didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They claimed a resounding 77-0 victory over Martin at home. The result was nothing new for Miller, who have now won nine contests by 24 points or more so far this season.
It was another big night for Broderick Taylor, who rushed for 142 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Taylor really tore up the turf during one magnificent 78-yard run. Miller also got help from Roderick Taylor who showed off his sure hands for 91 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Vela entered their tilt with Weslaco East with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Vela was the clear victor by a 31-9 margin over Weslaco East. Vela might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matchups by 21 points or more this season.
Jamal Polley was his usual excellent self, rushing for 213 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.3 yards per carry. Polley hasn't dropped below two rushing touchdowns for six straight games.
Miller has yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 11-0 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 King and 2-9 Rockport-Fulton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 38.7% over those games). As for Vela, their win bumped their record up to 10-1.

It's a different story for Vela, though, as they've been averaging only 110.3 per game. How will Vela fare against such a dominant passing game?
