The Guthrie Jaguars will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Patton Springs Rangers at 6:15 p.m. Patton Springs took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Guthrie, who comes in off a win.
Last Tuesday, Guthrie made easy work of Motley County and carried off a 63-40 victory. The victory was just what Guthrie needed coming off of a 97-53 loss in their prior game.
Guthrie's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rodie Sanders, who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanders has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaleb Green, who scored 19 points.
Meanwhile, Patton Springs' recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight defeat. They took a 53-34 bruising from Spur.
Guthrie's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18. As for Patton Springs, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-16.
Everything came up roses for Guthrie against Patton Springs in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 77-46 win. With Guthrie ahead 47-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
