Basketball Recap: Lincoln Comes Up Short

If Lincoln was feeling good fresh off their 65-41 takedown of Rocky Mountain Prep SMART last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lincoln Lancers came up short against the DSST: College View Wolves on Monday, falling 55-34. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lancers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 73-28 back in December of 2024.

Despite the loss, Lincoln still got an impressive performance from Adeshina Alassani, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. Alassani has been hot, having posted nine or more rebounds the last eight times he's played.

DSST: College View was led to victory by Isaias Tomita and Josue Tomita. Isaias almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals, while Josue went 7 of 11 en route to 20 points in addition to eight boards and five steals. Joshua Sosa was another key player, putting up six points along with ten rebounds and seven assists.

Lincoln's record is now 5-7. As for DSST: College View, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 61-44 win against KIPP Denver Collegiate on the 29th. DSST: College View has also already played their next game, an 85-59 victory against Rocky Mountain Prep SMART on the 29th.
