In what's become a running theme this season, the D DME Academy gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 72-39 victory over Dream City Christian National. Given D's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked third in Florida, while Dream City Christian National is ranked 143rd in Arizona), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Despite the defeat, Dream City Christian National had strong showings from Noelle Mulvanny, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and five steals, and Emma Slack, who scored nine points.
D's victory bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Dream City Christian National, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
D will head out on the road to square off against Spruce Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dream City Christian National will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Varsity Opponent at 9:45 a.m. on January 13th. Varsity Opponent has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last four games.
