The Carroll Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season. Everything went their way against University on Friday as Carroll made off with a 58-33 victory. Winning may never get old, but Carroll sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Alli Harness was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 23 points, 13 rebounds, and ten assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Carroll's points. Another player making a difference was Madison Wagner, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds.
University's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mackenzie Feeney, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. Feeney hasn't dropped below two blocks for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte Conyers, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Carroll's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.55 points. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.
