Haleyville had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They beat the Hokes Bluff Eagles on Saturday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 8-2. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 games by six runs or more this season.

Haleyville is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 25 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-9 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Hokes Bluff, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-15.

Coming up, Haleyville will square off against Madison County on Friday. The Tigers will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Lions surely won't give up without a fight. Hokes Bluff does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
