Baseball Recap: Beardstown Extends Winning Streak to Three

Beardstown waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans 6-4.

Ethan Heller and Colby Desollar did most of the damage at the plate: Heller scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances, while Desollar scored two runs and stole three bases while going 1-for-2.

Beardstown's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beardstown will host Pittsfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hamilton/Warsaw, they will square off against West Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
