Lyon County is a perfect 10-0 against Trigg County since April of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Lyon County Lyons will look to defend their home field against the Trigg County Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Lyon County is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9 runs per game this season.

Lyon County had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 12-run drubbing they dealt Trigg County on Tuesday. Lyon County never let Trigg County get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lyons considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Brady Belt was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Belt was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one double. That double marked the first that he hit this season.

In other batting news, Peyton Williams was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Korben Lucas was another key player, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Lyon County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Trigg County didn't got any hits.

Lyon County's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Trigg County, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 0-1.
