For Greenville Tech Charter, this counts as revenge for the 42-37 defeat Greer Middle College walked away with the last time they faced one another on January 5th.
Greenville Tech Charter found their leader in underclassman Sophie Chasteen, who scored nine points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Chasteen is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Josey Stefanik, who scored five points along with five rebounds and two blocks.
Greenville Tech Charter's victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Greer Middle College, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-13.
Greenville Tech Charter will challenge Blacksburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Blacksburg has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 402 points over their last six matchups. As for Greer Middle College, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Liberty at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Liberty is ranked 240th, while Greer Middle College is ranked 238th).
