The biggest upset of the week belonged to Jersey Village, who defeated 72nd ranked Cypress Creek, 35-28. Lavance Moore ran for 194 yards and caught 1 pass for 21 yards during the win.
Cy-Woods scaled the state rankings by moving to 151 from 266 this week, the biggest jump in 5A Region III District 17. The Wildcats climbed the ranks as a result of beating Cypress Springs 57-14.
Nick Hooper threw for 333 yards and 3 touchdowns. He went 14-21 with 0 interceptions.
Zach Duncan was the best wideout in the league this week as Cy-Woods beat the Panthers. Duncan racked up 4 receptions for 104 yards. Mason Roberts helped Cy-Woods' passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 88 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is DARIOUS CRAWLEY. The Cy-Ridge star has 18 catches for 376 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Trent Faith's team takes on Cy-Fair. At the moment, the Wildcats are in second, while the Bobcats are in third.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Cy-Woods takes on Cy-Fair. The Wildcats have allowed 102 points this season, while Ed Pustejovsky's team has given up 84. Cy-Woods allowed 14 points last week as it bested Cypress Springs.
The Panthers lost to the Wildcats 57-14 last week, the largest margin of any game.
