On Friday Albany take on Springfield at 7:00 PM. Albany have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.
Albany were able to grind out a solid victory over Independence last Friday, winning 34-20. Senior Justin Parrish was the offensive standout of the match for Albany, as he rushed for 214 yards and 3 touchdowns. One of the most memorable plays of the match was Parrish's 80-yard touchdown rush in the fourth quarter.
Meanwhile, Springfield had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 22-12 win over Cohen. The success made it back-to-back wins for Springfield.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 2-0. The Albany defense got after the quarterback against Independence to the tune of 4 sacks, so Springfield's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
