The Bethany Community Wolves will head out to square off against the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bethany Community's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Cornerstone Charter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Bethany Community was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Millennium on Monday. The Wolves' pitchers stepped up to hand the Lions a 16-0 shutout. Considering the Wolves have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cohen Brame made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brooks McDowell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March. Another player making a difference was Landen Long, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Bethany Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .714. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millennium only posted an OBP of .308.
Cornerstone Charter let Bethany Community stack four runs on them in the second inning on Friday but luckily Cornerstone Charter prevailed anyway. The Cardinals had just enough and edged out the Wolves 7-5.
Like Bethany Community, Cornerstone Charter also got a great game from a two-way player: Tyler Smith. He struck out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off two hits. Smith was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Smith wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Shaffrey, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Bethany Community has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Cornerstone Charter, their victory bumped their record up to 12-9.
Both Bethany Community and Cornerstone Charter just can't seem to miss. The Wolves have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 10.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Cornerstone Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bethany Community couldn't quite finish off Cornerstone Charter in their previous matchup on Friday and fell 7-5. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
