The Keith Bears will be playing in front of their home fans against the Isabella Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
After only seven points in their last game, Keith made sure to put some points up on the board against Hatch on Friday. Keith claimed a resounding 34-6 win over Hatch on the road. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Meanwhile, Isabella entered their tilt with Woodland with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Isabella simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Woodland 55-14 on the road. Isabella pushed the score to 41-7 by the end of the third, a deficit Woodland had no chance of recovering from.
Elijah Kendrick was his usual excellent self, throwing for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Kendrick was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards. Dre'von Lee was another key contributor, picking up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Their wins bumped Keith to 6-3 and Isabella to 7-2.
Keith was dealt a bruising 55-28 loss at the hands of Isabella in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Keith have more luck at home instead of on the road?
