The Salem Academy Charter Navigator's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to Neighborhood House Charter. Salem Academy Charter lost against Neighborhood House Charter in their previous head to head last Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-48 score last time.
Tavon Rhodes was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds for Neighborhood House Charter. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Rhodes has scored at least 25% of Neighborhood House Charter's points. Juelz McGhee was another key contributor, scoring five points along with five rebounds.
Salem Academy Charter has fallen quite a ways from their 18-6 record last season and are now at 1-3. As for Neighborhood House Charter, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Salem Academy Charter will head out on the road to face off against Community Charter School of Cambridge at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Neighborhood House Charter won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th.
