Sulphur Bluff's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Zaylee Peyton, who scored 14 points along with 8 rebounds, and Emma Neal who scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds.
Sulphur Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Whitewright, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sulphur Bluff will play host again and welcome Wolfe City, where tip off is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. Wolfe City has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 16. As for Whitewright, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Celeste at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Celeste will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
