Last Friday, Raton was beaten by St. Michael's 40-7. The defeat continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Horsemen: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Legacy Academy put another one in the bag last Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat McCurdy 54-0 at home. The result was nothing new for the Silverbacks, who have now won four matchups by 48 points or more so far this season.
Lorenzo Sedillo-Urban continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 45 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 181 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Christian Perez was Sedillo-Urban's top target, picking up 70 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Legacy Academy's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged two passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Jerry Garcia and Adam Chavez. Another thorn in McCurdy's side was Zachary Perea, who picked up two sacks and made five total tackles.
