NCSSM: Morganton came into Wednesday's match having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They enjoyed a cozy 59-40 victory over Rosman on Wednesday. NCSSM: Morganton pushed the score to 57-24 by the end of the third, a deficit Rosman cut but never quite recovered from.
NCSSM: Morganton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lawson Taylor, who scored 18 points. Taylor has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last seven times he's played. Rahul Soletti was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Defeat or not, Rosman got some senior leadership from Mason Meece and Kaesyn Mccoy. Meece scored 14 points, while Mccoy. scored 11 points.
NCSSM: Morganton's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Rosman, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road.
NCSSM: Morganton will challenge Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mitchell knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five games -- so hopefully NCSSM: Morganton likes a good challenge. Rosman is on the road again on Thursday and plays Madison at 7:30 p.m. on February 1st. Madison has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
